Petrol Price in Pakistan Today — Latest Petrol and Diesel Rates October 2026

The petrol price in Pakistan today has been reduced slightly as the government announced fresh fuel rates effective from October 1, 2026. Petrol is now priced at Rs387.40 per litre, while High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has been set at Rs400.35 per litre.

The latest revision brings some relief for motorists and businesses, although the reduction in petrol is very small. Petrol has been reduced by just Rs0.14 per litre, while HSD has received a bigger cut of Rs1.89 per litre.

Latest Petrol Price October 2026

Under the latest revision, the petrol price October 2026 starts at Rs387.40 per litre, down from the previous rate of Rs387.54.

High-Speed Diesel has dropped from Rs402.24 to Rs400.35 per litre.

The new rates are effective from October 1 and were announced following the latest price calculations based on rates determined by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

Why Have Fuel Prices Changed?

Fuel prices in Pakistan are closely linked with changes in the international market. According to the Petroleum Division, the latest adjustment reflects developments in global markets, including changes in Platts rates, premiums and other related costs.

This means that movements in international petroleum prices can eventually affect what Pakistani consumers pay at fuel stations.

For ordinary motorists, however, the latest petrol reduction will hardly make a major difference to the cost of filling a tank. The cut in diesel is more noticeable.

Diesel Price Pakistan Drops Below Previous Rate

The latest diesel price Pakistan stands at Rs400.35 per litre, following a reduction of Rs1.89.

Diesel prices are particularly important for Pakistan’s economy because HSD is widely used in commercial transport and other sectors. Changes in diesel costs can therefore matter beyond individual vehicle owners, especially for businesses that depend heavily on transportation.

Petrol Prices Have Fallen for Three Straight Revisions

The latest cut follows other recent reductions.

Petrol was priced at Rs391.30 per litre on September 28. It fell to Rs389.03 on September 29, Rs387.54 on September 30 and has now reached Rs387.40 on October 1.

That means petrol has fallen by a total of Rs3.90 per litre across these three consecutive revisions.

For anyone checking the petrol price in Pakistan today, the current official rate to remember is Rs387.40 per litre, while the latest diesel price Pakistan is Rs400.35 per litre.

What Should Consumers Expect Next?

Fuel prices can change as international oil markets and other pricing factors move. Consumers should therefore keep checking official updates instead of assuming that the petrol price October 2026 will remain unchanged throughout the month.

For now, motorists are getting a small amount of relief at the pump, but with petrol still close to Rs400 per litre, fuel costs remain an important part of household and business expenses across Pakistan.
